TITLE: BANANA SKIN JOKE Creator: Malcy Duff, Pages: 20, Format: A5 B/W At first, someone not used to Malcy's unique way of looking at things, may be mistaken into thinking this comic is simply a study of the title. As various characters fall victim to the dreaded banana peel. However, halfway through the book we are reminded why Malcy is one of the most powerful and original cartoonists of our time. Superb! |

TITLE: EYE
BALL ON WINDSHIELD Creator: Malcy Duff,Pages: 24 Format: A5 B/W Not only does this comic contain more of the sharp whitted cartooning you'd expect from Scotland's premiere small press talent, it also has a cool 3D cover feature which I'm not going to show here. |

TITLE: HOOFPRINTS Creator: Malcy Duff, Pages: 24, Format: A5 B/W With this comic, Malcy moves away from humour, and explores his themes much more directly with astonishing results. We are left with an expressive and thought provoking story. |

TITLE: I CAN'T DRAW PART 2 Publisher: Giant Tank, Pages: 60, Format: A5 B/W In this characteristically unusual comic from Malcy Duff, he questions the very foundations of what drawing is. It appears that he's drawn (excuse the pun) from his own educational experiences and the negative effects they may have had on his artistic development. This comic certainly made me think about my own negative experiences at art college, and I'm sure every reader will have their own unique personal reaction to this extraordinary little comic. |

TITLE:
RAINBOWS DON'T HAVE BLACK Creator: Malcy Duff, Pages: 16 Format: A5 B/W If your already a Malcy Duff fan I won't have to sell you this, any more than to say, " more of the usual" from Scotland's finest cartoonist. Im not going to pretend to completely understand this story, although there are some overtones of corporation oppression of the individual. In general the enigmatic nature of the story is what I love about it. The images create an emotional response, which are probably different in every reader. It's like one of those songs with ambiguous lyrics that conjure images the writer never intended. |
