Personally I've been a huge fan of Paul's work since Memory Man. His cartooning and humour have always made me giggle. However this book is a far more peronal type of humour, with some wonderful observational pieces. most of these strips are single page, or even single panel showing Paul at his very best

Paul's comics always seem to make me laugh, his mixture of real life observation and sci-fi parody seems to really hit my funny button, and this story about a binge drinking alien and his unfortunate drinking partner is no exception. Polished cartooning as usual from Paul and two great back up one pagers complete the package.

Paul Rainey strikes again with another brilliant comic, which asks the question: 'How do you cope if your girlfriend is a telephone sex girl?' With some side splitting comedy moments, it still manages to make you feel something for the main characters. Underneath the surreal situations and humour there's a real character story being told.

TITLE: THERE'S NO TIME LIKE THE PRESENT

Although not completely set in the real world (ok, it'a a fantasy book really but what the hell..) this series boasts many of the qualities of true slice of life.
These characters are wonderfully flawed, and the more I read this title the more I enjoy it. The relationships are portrayed with depth and charm and there are many moments the reader can identify with.
In my opinion, Paul's best work to date!
Recommended to mature readers.
